Our experience at the Rhone Retreat in one word … Epic!  The property, the location and especially Ken’s hospitality as proprietor extend well beyond the usual or ordinary. We based our family vacation at the Rhone Retreat for a week to relax, enjoy regional wines and explore historic sights. Our experience far exceeded our expectations.

Our family woke each morning to a prepared breakfast in the garden including local fruits, vegetables, coffee and pastries. We explored vineyards, villages and historic landmarks each day with Ken as our guide, followed by afternoons relaxing in the pool and evening dinners at the property or a local 5-star restaurant a short walk away. Ken’s friendly professionalism, responsiveness and attention to detail as our concierge and tour guide elevated the experience to a high level. Ken guided us to regional offerings we would have otherwise missed from historical landmarks to unique regional pastries, fresh fruits and vegetables to fantastic Cote du Rhone and Chateauneuf du Pape wines. Our family also enjoyed the experience of southern France living by shopping for provisions in the local villages.

The property provides a variety of comfortable accommodations for a family, friends traveling together or for couples seeking to get away. The individual rooms, grounds and property location provide relaxation and access comparable to the best vacation properties in the world. Each room is private and quiet including furnishings that feel like home. The quaint village offers options for casual hikes and walks as well as a restaurant that absolutely must be experienced. The region offers fantastic wineries, charming villages, historic Roman and Papal excursions, sunflower and lavender fields and views at every turn. We highly recommend the Rhone Retreat for a wonderful vacation and a true French experience!
